Default stuck throttle cable

I took the cables loose from the throttle body and low and behold both of them were frozen. After I took the cables off the bike one actually separated into two halves. The other cable was frozen solid. So I have two new cables sitting at the dealer waiting for me. This is a "97" model with OEM cables so it should be no problem. The only thing is the book says to use a scanalyzer to adjust tensions on the cables but I don't have one of them buggers so best guess/function is my method.

Thanks to everyone who responded, I appreciate it.

when you go in to pick up the cables, ask one of the guys to talk you through it- should be worth the cost of a cup of coffee.
