Have a "GOOD" parts man check the part # of the cams in the 96 & 103. I think you'll find them the same.

Wow, a lot of uninformed dealers in your area

Heres what I was told by a HD service mgr.
The 255's come in the CVO bikes. Not the power pak or limited 103's

Just checked the stock cams that came out of my 2011 FLTRU - 103
Parts are: 2558907A -188B1 & 2561707A - 189B1
The 255s are also a Screamin Eagle part

Sorry I do not have spec sheets, but I did compare the cam profiles side by side between the ones out of my 2011 103 Road Glide Ultra to a set of CVO 255's and can tell you that they are indeed different with the 255's having a wider lobe.

The 255 are stock in the 110 CVO's since 2007, Part # 25638-07 SE 255's
That the only bikes they are in originally. All the other touring bike's have the same cam, weather its a 96 or a 103. I checked the parts books just now. The 06 and older 103's found stock only in CVO's are 253 cams.
Part # 25376-03

The cams that came out of my stock '07 TC96 are 25589-07 and 25617-07, which looks suspiciously familiar. In fact, they are the same with the "A" signifying a minor revision of some sort. That revision isn't as grandiose as going from stock to SE255's, however, and the OP's dealer sources are uniformed. It never ceases to amaze me some of the notions that emanate from the mouths of dealer personnel. Disclaimer: Not all dealer employees are idiots, but we hear some real gems passed along here.

ALCON ~ I sincerely appreciate all the responses and research. I will see the service manager again this Friday. Needless to say, they've gone down several notches in my book. I'm sure it will be an interesting discussion.

Thanks to all, this is what's this forum so great.
