I'm all about increasing the performance of my bike but when the service manager tells me I'm throwing my money away ... why would they tell me that and not try to make a buck??
...because they don't know what they are talking about in this case. You've got guys on here with Limiteds telling you that the 255s are a great upgrade for the 103. But as far as a spec sheet, I don't know where to look. SE-255 cams are part of the 103 Stage II kit. They aren't in a stock 103.
According to the SE Parts catalog, the SE-255 cams are "used in the 07 later street legal 103 stage II kits and the 110 stage I kits. Compression releases may be required depinding on displacement and compression ratio". The 103 that comes in the Limited or the power pak option is not the stage II kit.
Look in a 2011 Touring parts catalog and see if the part number of the cam is the same for the Limited and the Ultra. I think you'll find that they are the same cam (not SE255). Your dealer will have the parts catalog.
I feel like you guys are arguing with me ... let me rephrase my question. "Does anyone have a specifiation sheet or something that states what size cam comes in the 2011 Ultra Limited?" Thanks again.

Your limited has 103 jugs and standard TC96 heads and cams.
The SE255 bolt in cams even with not head work will give it a low cost kick in the butt. Add some fuel

Appreciate the input Top along with everyone else's. I hear everybody and am sincerely thankful. But 25 years of hearing people say one thing and me constantly asking "show me" ... has taught me things aren't always what they seem to appear. When I get hard facts, I'll let everyone know.
What I'd love to do is actually compare a stock camshafts from different bikes against the SE-255.
The cams absolutely had to be different. The idle changed, the exhaust got louder just like others have said, and power is up significantly. Don't have a clue who these bozo's are that are giving you the bad info, but I would shop elsewhere.
