Default $900 at the dealer today

Just picked my bike up today.
Cost was $900.
For that I got:
* 2 new tires installed
* 15,000 mile service
* New brakes all around

Did I get screwed or did I do ok.
I do not have the tools, knowledge, or time to do the work myself.
Riding season is coming and I do not want to be in the shop then, so I did it now.

That sounds about right. You could have saved a little by going to an independent tech.

You got SCREWED.

I just had my 10k service (all amsoil) a couple months ago, 2 tires installed (including installation of my new valve stems from motorcycleanchor.com), and new brake pads all around. About $600 total.

Wait...did that include the cost of tires? Because if so, you didn't do as bad as I thought.

Nothing like getting the guy all spooled up. $900 DOES sounds a bit high to me but it's not the end of the world. If your scoot's running top top and you're happy then I wouldn't worry about.

Sounds about right actually. 15K service + new brakes + 2 tires mounted and balanced...

I mean, I wouldn't pay that much because I do it all myself but at shop prices it sounds about right.

No worries.

They dont call it the stealer for nothing. All that matters is You are happy with the service and price. Something to think about, the service manual is the BEST investment you can make. Tools are easy to come by and most things can be done by you if you know how to read and comprehend what the manual says. You also stated you didnt have the time to bond with your ride, a hour here and there adds up and you get to bond and learn your bike. You will be surprised at how easy some things are to do and how quick you learn to do new things. Good luck to you and stay safe.

I'd say 9-bills is fair for HD service work & the $600 to $900 gap could also be contributed to differences in 10K to 15K service work...?? Either way - ride w/peace of mind.

Just had the 20,000 done about 3 months ago at a local shop and it cost me $510. But dealers are always gonna be higher though.
