Default Holes to fill...

Hey there - just picked up a new ride and it came with a chopped tour pack with a luggage rack on top. Will never use the luggage rack. Is there some easy way to fill/cover the holes that would be left if I remove it? Any help is appreciated!

One option it to use rubber plugs for the holes - most hardware stores should carry - I got some from Ace HW for a different project - just measure size & hope they have one that fits...

3 options i can think of..

1. HD makes some nice chrome covers that will cover them(Part #53887-05 $39.95)
2. There is a leather (maybe fake) Cover that is sold that is very nice.(Part #57844-05 $79.95)
3. You could get another lid and keep your other incase you ever dedide to travel and need it.They are EZ to change. Good Luck...........o~`o..................
P.S. Never Say Never!!!!LOL.......

And here I just bought a rack for my leather TP. There is no such thing as too much storage on a trip, 2 up. If nothing else it is a good place to strap your jackets, helmets or the like when you don't need to wear them. Saves storage on the bags or TP. just my opinion.

I agree, one always needs more storage space. Recommend to the OP to keep the rack on for a couple of months, before deciding to take it off or not.

I have used my rack several times and wouldn't go w/o.

And with the QD TP it only takes a minute to substitute the sissy bar with back rest and luggage rack or leave it off if I am solo
