I just spent two and a half days tearing my friend's bike down and detailing it. It was the first time i had ever used BlacK Box. It was an amazing transformation. it covered scratches and made his '95 EVO look brand new. It is a time intensive process (four steps) but for anyone wanting to restore a finish, I can't imagine anything working better. the paint looked like you could drink it it was so deep and black.

having said that, I just washed all my towels and they came clean. I was a bit wary of it staining my hands but it did not.

5 stars!! And I highly recommend it!

This past Saturday I went on a ride to benefit of the special olympics. The weather was sunny and bright. It was the first time out after the black box treatment.

I was very pleased with the black box wax out in the sun. I got several comments on the gloss and depth of the paint.

After the ride, when the bike cooled off, I got out the black box detailer and wiped the bike down. Its amazing just what the detailer does to the paint.

If you try the black box, DON'T SHORTCUT.

You will need several microfiber cloths, and some time. Don't rush it.

Apply it per the directions and I think you will be surprised at the results.

I am sold on this product for black paint.

Straight carnauba wax. Buy from an auto detailing supply store. 1 gallon lasted me 3 yrs. No residue (white powder dust), you can put it on and wipe it off pretty much back to back.

Those of you using this Black box, I have a question. My paint color is Pryzmatic Black ,a black base coat with cotton-candy metal flake. Since I do not have too much knowledge on the paint or finish side of the world. Could I expect a similar result?

Based on this discussion, i went out and bought some of the Black Box. I'm only moderately impressed. it does give a nice wet look, but i still have a bunch of swirlies in the paint which kind of disappointed me.

That's how long it takes me to do wax, rims and chrome. You must be doing a good job.
