Default A/C Cover for my new Limited

Just traded in my '07 FLHTC for a new Cherry/Merlot Limited. Going out the door with a few mods including A/C and Fuel Moto headpipe. I was going to put a Nostalgic Bar and Shield AC cover (#29138-91). Its a round cover. Am I better off with oval from a flow standpoint?

Congrats on the new ride !! I went through several trials and have settled on keeping the stock "football" cover. I just like the looks

There's no difference that will effect air intake. Put on your choice.

I too dislike the stock "Football" A/C. Always liked the old round ones, had roundone on my '48 Pan, my Evo Heritage, my TC88 Roadking, But, on my new Limited, the old school round one just didn't look right. So, I put on the Screamin Eagle Ventilator. Just wish I could find a "103" insert to replace the eagle (seen "110" on CVO's).

I like the looks of the open A/C's but the need to put a sock on during rain seems like a bit of a headache. Minor issue or not?

My understanding is that "Any cover will flow more than our engines are capable of utilizing". It must be the difference in elements, stock Vs. free flowing stageI.

Major headache! Ran my crossbones like this & heavy rain would cause a misfire when you opened it up.

Open may look badass, but covered is best!
