Default Pricing on 2010-11 needed

Hi guys I need a little help with a dealer who I told I had seen a PRICE of $19800 OTD was Sold to one of OUR Members. That is for a 2011 SG with a Cruise Option, I have seen it on here but the dealer was not mentioned?
I need to know what prices that you have gotten OTD (With ALL taxes,Prep,Ship, Etc) and the dealer that gave you THAT DEAL or better ? Problem is he does not believe it and thinks that because it is the Internet that most talking is BS and no one gets that pricing.
So I hope I am not asking a big deal (Giving me Dealer and Pricing ?) But you could help me out to prove that these deals do happen ?

I am in NY Long Island so any that are here is GREAT!
Help me Please. Thanks so Much ahead of time

One of the biggest problems with an out the door price is the defintion of OTD. OTD in my definition is as you describe it - everything included. Some say the OTD price was ya da ya da and then they say, PLUS TAX. Well, when you add taxes, that's another $1,400 (7% sales tax on a $20,000 motorcycle). So for comparison purposes, let's all use everything included as the definition. Oh and let's not subtract any dealer credits as incentive for the purchase.

I'll use my case for example. In June of 2010 I bought a vivid black 2010 Street Glide with cruise control. The OTD price was $21,350. As an incentive to buy the bike the dealer had a promotion that gave me $2,000 store credit for whatever I wanted to put on the bike. So my point is that I didn't buy the bike for $19,350. If I financed the bike, I would have had to pay $21,350 not $19,350. The $2,000 was a store credit, not a discount off the price of the bike.

Dealer name: Brandt's H-D in Wabash, Indiana. 2010 Street Glide - Vivid black, cruise control. $21,350 OTD.

Wow, that turned out to be much longer than I thought!!

In my opinion it's unfair to include sales tax and license fee as it is different in each state.

Boston Harley was asking 25,000 2010 ultra Limited. I got 11,500 for two bikes I guess that makes it 13,500. I was never asked, nor did I ask, I am not sure why, about any incentives. but I got the drivers back rest, 200.00 the lo-jack 4- or 500.00, Maybe it was three, cant remeber, and and the flat tire plan, which I thought was a good idea. 800.00. the flat plan is good until you use it up, so I thought it was a good idea. which brings me baack up to 14,900, lets call it 15,000. I thought I got a good deal???? I will buy a warranty extention this summer even though I still have one more year.

My "out the door" price for a 2011 Road King POSE (with cruise and security/ABS package) will be 19,619 (9% sales tax included). Yes the sales tax changes from area to area, but in my mind out the door means the number that should be on the check when I come in to do the paperwork. End of may cannot come soon enough!

Well the problem like others have stated is on the definition of OTD

Like here the dealer does not collect the tax so its never even brought into a conversation. You also only pay tax on the difference if you are trading a bike in. So to most people here OTD means before tax since you pay the tax somewhere else.

I got my 2011 SG with a 103 for MSRP but dealer gave me over 2k over book on my trade. This did not include tax but only pay tax on the difference.

Thanks so far guys but I need to know What the NAME of these dealers are?
When you say my dealer? and I look into where you live I find they have a BUNCH of dealers and What if you bought out of town and had it shipped in? You get the idea

""StreetGlide w/Cruise and Vivid Black From NY HD - OTD $21375 ""

BANG ! Thats what I can do to tell my Dealer there are DEALERS giving out GREAT DEALS and these are REAL not just made up!
He can not say to me " WELL THIS IS MADE UP ,HE IS JUST MADE IT UP IN HIS HEAD?"

I want to confront him with actual DEALS and I know there are GREAT Pricing out there.

Forget about Taxes and how much because every State has a different tax and some have NONE! But Like one guy had said what was on that CHECK you gave to the dealer ??
Thanks So Much !
