That's what the parts guy says to me every time I help him find the part I need in the parts book. Good thing I get a great discount.

It could have just been that the cams weren't pushed up against the nub before they adjusted the belt or it moved when tightening. I would loosen and re-adjust to see if they stay equal. The cams should turn and move equal away fr. the nub when adjusting. May save a trip to dealer. This guy has a great video on alignment but those unequal cams are probable your problem.

Go git a belt guage for the rear drive belt. It may not be adjusted right. Buddy had the same problem with a Street Glide.

Could it be the axle cams? That would be an easy and pretty cheap fix.

What fixed it for me was a brand new set of engine mounts. Apparently the ones coming from the factory were misaligned somehow. It took me weeks of going back and forth with the dealer to get them to do anything because..."Nothing was wrong".

Get your engine mounts looked at.

just because they were misaligned doesnt mean you needed new ones! Sounds like the dealer pulled a fast one.

Same issue on my '07 RKC! The "snails" show the alignment to be correct. The tech. tells me the alignment is automatic with the snails and the nubs. Now I'm thinking we need to realign the motor and the frame as described in the service manual. So we'll do that along with a new rear tire and wheel alignment. If that and a frame brace don't solve the problem it's going to be a trade-in!

Sorry, no conspiracy here. By the time I (myself) found the issue, the donuts were already worn (indented) into their misaligned position.

I insisted the dealer replace them because I didn't want them pulling a fast one...
