Default Seat height

Anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to get my butt an inch or two closer to terra firma. Seat, shocks, lowering bracket, ????????????

Bike is a '95 Ultra.

just a suggestion....try findinga low profile seat on e-bay first and start there.....if you lower the bike by doing a/any mod(s) to the chassis, it will ride rougher because the suspension travel is less......if comfort is pretty important, try the seat first.....i'm still looking for one for mine after about (?) months......may take awhile but may be worth it.....take care, bill

I am 5'7", have a 30"inseam, and ride a roadking so I can relate. First I put a low profile seat on the bike, it helped alot. Secondly I tried HD low profile shocks, they work good for lowering but the ride suffered too much so I replaced them with the stock and some lower mounting brackets (1 1/2"). The ride is still decent but with the bike loaded and traveling over bridges at high speed the frame cross member will 'scrape' depending on the rise of the bridge. Its all give and take. When I take long road trips with my wife I replace both the seat and the shock mounting brackets with the stock ones to get the most comfort out of the bike. I am hoping to replace the rear shocks with legend air suspension to have the best of lowering and riding, if only I could remember where I buried that mason jar.

Send your seat to Allen at www.meancitycycles.com

He'll not only lower you as much as you want, but can move you forward or back, and will re-scoop the shape so it's also more comfortable! I just sent mine off to him yesterday and can't wait
