I changed out to the nostalgic grips by HD, not too flashy but they feel great, they follow the natural arch in your hand, wider in the middle, give them a try, rode 7 hrs last friday felt great and they aren't very expensive.

I have no gaps at all on either side.

Check the pics.

Also, I mentioned Zanottis earlier. The part number is: 0630-0540 @ $43.08

Does anyone have experience with the PM countour XL grips? I'm down to the countour xl and the renthal grips. I like the countour xl look, but I'm looking for comfort.

I recently purchased a set of PM 2K8 grips for my 2009 vivid black SG. Subtle custom look to them (no spikes or swiss cheese holes!), feel great with the Renthal Rubber grips, and most importantly, look good on the 13'' cycle smith apes. Installation was simple. Only issue was fitment of the throttle grip. I had to go to Lowe's to purchase a rubber washer to fill about a 1/16'' gap (caused a rattle while the bike was running) between the throttle grip and the control box. No issues since...
