Easy to cut off, just tape up both sides of the windshield and cut to desired height with a jigsaw. Finish by sanding the edge smooth, then remove tape. Or save it and purchase one off E-Bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...item230d5fc132

I had a stock windshield without recurve. I determined how tall I wanted the windshield and I taped both sides of the windshield with painter's tape.I made a mark on the tape where I wanted the top of the windshield to be. Then I tied a pencil to a string. I held the loose end of the string on the center screw that holds the windshield and traced an arc on the tape. I used a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade and made the cut just above the line. I used coarse sand paper to get it to the line and finer sand paper to finish. The whole project was done with the windshield on the bike.
It looked good and worked good. It took a little time, but it was really easy and cost almost nothing. If you screw it up, what the heck, you were going to have to buy a new windshield anyway.
