Has anyone used a shipping company that they would like to recommend? I would like to find out what it would cost to ship a bike to CO from OH instead of riding it in this lovely winter weather most of the country has been having. My dealer is checking also and just thought I would see what the forum has to offer.

I used Daily Direct (haulbikes.com) and was quite satisfied. Friendly staff, painless procedure, and a nice driver. I also considered Federal motorcycle transport. It was a toss up, but I went with Daily direct just because they could guarantee the bike got picked up by a certain date. Their price quotes were virtually the same too. Its my understanding that both companies (among others) do contract deliveries from the factories out to dealerships around the country as well, if that means anything.

I used Federal which is who Harley recommends on their HOG site; slow but good.

Uship.com.

Kind of like eBay for shipping companies. You list your shipment details and shippers submit you a bid. You get to look at the shippers' profiles and select which bid you will accept. Shippers have feedback ratings, also like eBay, so you can read what other people have said about that shipper.

I used it to ship my Ultra limited from N.H. to N.Y. Got three bids within 24 hours. First bid was for $667, second for $400, and third bid (which I accepted) was $299. Great experience for me. I would use them again.

Best of luck.

problem with uship is more then half of the so called shippers are not properly dot licensed for transporting across state lines and if they get caught your bike gets imponded and you have to go get it lol

I used uShip and got a great shipper. I used MACH 1 EXPEDITED TRANSPORT (mach-1@live.com). Dave the owner/operator was great and had very good reviews (http://www.uship.com/profile/Mach1xpeditedtransport/). He shipped my bike from TX-CA and kept in contact the entire way. Good luck
