Good price on the Herko Kit, went and found mine and that is what I was quoted for the kit. Think I must have added some other parts in there to get the 800.00 I quoted above. Yea, I am waiting to see what the indy will charge to go ahead and install the SE 95 kit at the same time he does the gear drive. Hell, might be able to get everything for less than 1800.00. Which would make me real happy and stop my wanting the 2010 Limited with the 103. Still have to get the big sucker a/c and exhaust and tuner. but can shop for them.

Looks like bob wood kit upgrades both chains to roller ,and you don't reuse your old one.I think his kit is 512.00 from him but you need to add the cost of a gasket kit.

 

Does anyone know if you use the other kits is the oil pump upgraded like on the SE kit?????Can you use any cam on the SE kit and only Conversion cams on the other kits(Herko,Andrews,T-man,Woods....ect

 

Herko kit comes with the upgraded oil pump and everything you need including new bolts and loctite. You do have to use "N" cams I believe.

 

I just done my TC88 just before T-day and went with the SE Upgrade Hydra Tensioners, SE204 cams, inner bearings, Oil Breathers, used the stock rods for we went in from the top, and a SE Stage 1 Carb kit. Bottom line was just at 1K and we did all the work ourselves. The SE Upgrade came with the new oil pump. I bought the gasket kit from HD.

 

I believe the oil pump up grade is if you have the 88 and due the tension up grade to be like the 96 ers.

 

The Herko kit includes the new model oil pump just like the SE kit.

We used the new inner and old outer, I think thats how we did it. The new kit came with one chain and not the other. Been a minute ago.
