LOl, they are on already. I'm just goofing with maps and wondering if a dyno tune would be worth it and how much?

It's hard to tell what you're capable of until you see the afr.

Ah ok gotcha.

A tune is always good but, this is just my opinion, a base map from someone like Fuel Moto is going to get your pretty darn close. I really don't see the need and expense for a full tune with just pipes and an air cleaner.

Now you start adding cams and what not and that's a different story.

Depending on your fuel management system, there are also options out there like adding the auto tune module to the power commander.

It's just a PCIII.

I was having an issue with the left(Rear cyl) pipe tip getting blacker than the right....a lot blacker and quickly. I trimmed the rear cylinder back 5%(max) and it was better but still had soot on the tip after a short ride(5 miles). The right pipe is nearly clean. Thing is, it runs fine....at least by me. Doesn't do anything funny at all.

Call Jamie at Fuel Moto tomorrow, he will get you squared away, if in fact there is anything wrong.

Easy 10%+ gain with a good tune, with better all round performance.

I was speaking in reference to a package from Fuel Moto where you can get a pre-loaded map from them that is so close to a full tune. They have so much time on the dyno with all the most popular configurations of pipes, A/C, etc.

I agree 100%. I was on the fencepost about getting mine tuned with just having pipes & AC, but Doc pulled an extra 10 TQ and 7 HP over the stage 1 SERT download. Just the improved rideability was worth it to me.
