Default Air deflectors..Before and after???

I've seen a few bikes at the local dealer but haven't had a chance to see the owners to actually chat with the on this subject but I'm thinking about getting some for my 2011 SG. I'm thinking about getting the adjustable air deflector kit from Harley but wanted to know how much of a difference does it really make? Where will I notice the "Calm" with the deflectors closed?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you're talking about the little "dragonfly wings" on the sides of the fairing, yes, you'll notice a difference.

Put 'em on one day and rode around thinking "these aren't really doing anything" -- Then reached down and opened them up and was being somewhat blasted.

I even went as far as to pull over and remove one (thinking the "blast" was simply turbulence caused by the open 'wing') and I was then being blasted on the one side.

The difference is significant. When it is hot, they also can be adjusted to give your passenger a nice air-flow.

I will add that the rider gets a nice cooling blast of air on hot days from them also. And a little more protection from the wind on cold days.
I just wish someone would make a nice set of polished SS or chromed metal ones, that would look real nice on my motorcycle.

They're one of three items I added to my FLHX for better airflow (wings, w/s & vented lowers). This combo works for me...

They make a definite difference. Where I noticed it most was when my beard stopped whipping my face. Worth the money IMO.

One works better than the other...I have the Kuryakyn kind and they don't work as good as the smooth kinds.

I gotta say they work on cold and warm days. They came in a light smoke color and I painted mine Black.

Absolutely love mine. Keeps you cooler in the hot Florida summers and warmer in the winters. My wife loves them too riding in the back. If she gets too cold, she always asks me to close them. I painted mine jet flat black on the insides, love the look. Really gives your bike a solid look.
