RE: Ultra woes..
BULL SHIX Since the day I rode my 06 ultra home it poped missed and backfired. It took the dealer 5 times and 2 times after the stage one install to correct it. WITHOUT a sert or pc111. MY problem was a bad intake leak and a cracked intake and a lot of bad downloads. it runs perfectly now no pops misses or backfires as well.It will set and run smoothly even at slow speed. It just took finding aGOOD mechanic. one that could fix the problems. Sorry for the anger, and I know that preformance parts always help if that is what you are going after. It just took me 6 months to get the factory problems fixed. I love it now!! Would not even consider traiding for another bike.

The true duals will have more decel pop. One of the main reasons for "crossover" pipes is to help control decel pop. The exhaust gases flowing through your pipes have a fairly narrow range of combustibility. The set up you are running is giving you a lean condition on decel. It's easy to cure this with either PC III USB or SERT. PC is much easier for most people to work with. You can either add or remove fuel in the area you are getting the pop at. I.E. between 2000 and 6000 rpm's at 0% throttle. Usually your set up pops between 2000 and 3750. Add about 20-25% fuel in this area and adjust up or own 5% at a time till the pop has disapated. If using SERT add or remove VE in these same areas on both cyls untill you reach your objective of minimal decel pop. PC III or SERT are hands down the best fuel management products we have currently available. If its an option for you, try and find a Dyno Center which uses DynoJets 250i equipped with Tuning Link. You will get consistent results if the Tuner is competent. A 2006 with a SE Hi Flow air cleaner, Rinehart true duals, and a properly tuned PCIII will usually yield 74-76 hp and 74-78 ft lbs of torque.A nice increase from the stock 60-62 hp and 68-70 ft lbs of torque.

RE: Ultra woes..
dchoran......I have to claim shananagans on the being able to keep up to a hyabusa. I've ridden many mod'd bikes metric and american, and there isn't much that will keep up to the 1300cc hyabusa. I mean it's a 470lb, 156hp, 9.8 second 150mph in the quarter mile stock. My buddy has one and I rode it and there is not way man, sorry.
