Default Saddle Bag Guards

I removed the 2 rails around the side/back of each saddle bag, but left the front gaurds. Looking for Ideas and what to do with the 2 holes left behind in each gaurd. I thought I had read here that someone had covered them in leather and thought that was a good idea. Presently I have them covered with foil tape (if nothing else to keepout any moisture or critters), but that just aint working for me cosmetically. Any Ideas?

If you have a local Ace HW store - go to their nut/bolt section & see if there are any rubber hole plugs that will fit the holes. Good luck!

There was a previous thread where the guy used the "Classic Chrome Allen Hole Plugs" that HD sells. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

I did the same thing(removed rails)...to cover the holes, I used the original hardware, and a couple 'bullet' style or longer acorn(chrome of course) nuts to finish the job. not the greatest pic, but it gives you a visual, and yes, it does make them look crooked, or misaligned, but snapped this with phone, and not a great shot.

Just put on a set of take off saddlebag guards. Lots of folks add the twin rails and take off their guards. (which have no holes in them) Should be easy to find and inexpensive.
