This is what I did (SIG). Now I'm not limited to a 16" tire up front any more (limited options)

It's a Classic!! It needs the laced wheels and WWW tires to have the look of a classic. If you're gonna take 'em off, you may as well put hard bags on it and you'll have an expensive FLHR.

Thanks for all the comments. I've really been struggling with this between all the horror stories about catastrophic tire deflations, the problems with flats on the road and still wanting the laced look. Looks like I'll be sticking where I am for now. Thanks to everyone.

FWIW, i've been pondering the same idea for awhile.My bike doesnt look like a RKC anymore since i added the hardbags but none the less i need to wait for the funds.Really like the fatdaddy 50's,used to have them on my old fatboy.

Why do people change from the hard leather bags to the hard fiberglass bags?

I am with you My new cast wheels are at the dealer getting the bearings swaped right now. Ill post pics when I get them Installed



The New Wheels with Balck Tires That and I am going with a MU 85/16 It is a little wider and 2/32 deeper tread new, also a heavy load range.

I have a 2005 road king custom. The customs come with mag wheels. I prefer the look of the of the spoke rims and www myself. I you like the Custom rims maybe you would like to do a trade? Ben

I get a set of lace wheels in good shape frount tire is 1/2 warn back is down to 3/32 make me an offer.
