I love that look but how much handling and ride are you compromising?
I don't get it with this forum, but fear spreads here like a bullshit story on FOX news. The handling and ride are fine IF IF IF you take care of the geometry. I.E., lowering the front the proper amount to retain stock line.
Also, i had a guy tell me he's not going with a 21" front because the tire is way too narrow...
the tire that fits onto the 21x3.5 front wheel is approximately 1/2" 'thinner' than a stock tire. That's right, one-half of an inch. A quarter inch (1/4) on each side. How do i know? Because i held the stock one up to the new one and checked. I think my bike rides better since the new wheel and monotubes lowered.
It comes down to this: it takes money to play, and the cost of cool aint cheap. Halfassing a job like throwing a 21 on without the money to account for the changes to the suspension or ride height is going to cause negative results.
This is what i have experienced with my own two eyes/hands/ears/etc. so while it may be my opinion, it's not hearsay.

21'' front 18'' rear RC Components CZAR, matching 13'' rotor and Hawg Halters 6 piston caliper. Lowered 2'' up front to put the geometry back to stock. Rides and handles as well as any other bagger I've ridden. I love it!
