Default 2011 Electra Gide Classic

just looking for some experiences and opinions on the 2011 Electra Glide Classic. I currently ride an 06 SG and although I love it, I rode my buddies 2010 RK and there were enough differences to make me look at new bikes. The new stiffer frame, the 6 speed, bigger motor, and overall better handling impressed me. My girlfriend and I are doing more long distance trips and I think the added comfort would be welcomed. Thoughts?

The EGC is probably the best bike for the money that Harley sells. I just traded in my 10 EGC for an 11 Ultra Limited. The 10's have a compensator issue that is fixed in the 11's. Stock power is pretty lame but they are nice bikes.

I own a Street Glide and ride solo. However, I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago and rented a 2011 EGC for a week. It was vivid black and merlot - beautiful bike. I really liked the motorcycle much more than I thought I would. I'm not fond of tour packs from a "looks" standpoint, but man they are convenient and almost a must for 2-up riding.

For the money, it's a whole lotta bike. Rent one and go riding with your passenger (when the weather breaks).

My $0.02

Can't beat it if long distance rides are your thing.

I went from a 2007 SG to a 2011 EGC and I love the EGC. It rides much better than my SG did, yet it still felt familiar. I changed the rear taillightand license plate to be the same as my SG and made the tourpack detachable. I would do it all over again and I highly recommend the "upgrade".

2010 UC here. Aside from some minor stuff (cat and pipes which I'm working on), I love this bike. It rides like a dream, handles great and does everything I want it to, and does it well. If you're in to long distance and comfort, I think you'd find that this bike will meet or exceed your expectations.

Nice thing about an Electra-Glide is this: No matter where you go, no matter what you do, everyone knows what it is. An Electra-Glide.

Thanks for all the posts. It is probably what I'll end up with.
