You're going to get a lot of opinions on this and mine is J&M. I've had hogtunes and a friend has boom. Mine is better.

I'm installing the 7 1/4 J&M's with an Amp this weekend. If you want to hear them, drop me a PM.

YEP, sure have and side by side against my buddy's bike with the J&M. After we did it he took his J&M's out and put in the Boom's and he had run nothing else but J&M's for the past 4-5 years. Now I'm not saying J&M's aren't good cause they are. But I'm telling you the Boom's are as good or better for half the cost.

As to the "buzz" you speak of I haven't had any of that at all. Mine are very clear all the way up to 90+%.

you could use the hogtunes tweeter pod on your streetglide like i did on mine. but take into consideration that the hogtunes tweeter pod costs more than the boom harley speakers if they're actually $110 like viper817 mentioned. the tweeter pods don't increase your midrange or bass, only the high frequency sounds, so the boom speakers look to be a better choice.

Looks like boom may be the way to go, I just don't like to endorse the stealerships. I don't need a system to make my ears bleed, but something is gotta give with stock. They distort so bad and sound really terrible.. Thanks guys

The Boom speakers are so loud I have never been more than half volume. Ordered from Zanotti's with 20% off. Easy install and look great.
