I agree, Kroil is the best penetrating oil.

Brake rotors should be installed with red Loctite which is made to be released using heat.

Those disc bolts are secured with red Loctite. Red Loctite needs 400 degrees of heat to release, so heat is your friend. Loctite also makes a release agent that worked very well for one of my buds. Penetrating oil will not penetrate red Loctite sealed threads. Chase the threads on both the bolts and holes before re-installation and blue Loctite will be more than adequate.

I would heat the surrounding areas, not the bolts. Expanding the bolts won't do much good. You want to use a good heat gun and heat the hub area where the bolts thread in. Just sayin'. They are in there...thats a fact.

I DID IT - THEY'RE OUT!!

I got lots of suggestions - heat, whacking, oil, tightening & losening....and I didn't use one of them or a little of each. I used A LOT of ALL of them!! And even then, there were times I didn't think they'd all come out!! It's just amazing how easily the front botls came how and how incredibly hard it was to get the rear ones out.

Thanks (again) to HDF!!

Ken, i know this is a little late but CRC makes a product called freeze off....similar to kroil...works fantastic on removing rusted and frozen nuts and bolts.....most auto parts stores should carry it....

When I replaced the disc on the rear wheel of my 2000 RG I busted 3 torx bits before picking up one from a local Snap-On dealer.I still twisted the bit some but it never broke. I also used it with an 18" breaker bar. Good Luck!
