Default should I?

So I currently own an 05 rk custom flhrs, but have always wanted a custom chopper. A friend of mine, who has 2 beautiful choppers offered to trade me 1 straight up. He has 40k into the bike but just doesn't ride it much. It's a war eagle frame with a 110 merch engine and trans, internal wiring, and air suspension. Amazing custom paint and seat. My mechanic says don't do it, customs have too many problems, my bike is in awesome shape. I'm looking for feedback either way. I only take 1 long ride a year, but is it just a case of the grass is always greener? Thanks.

You'll regret it.

That one long ride per year on a chopper will put you in the old folks home. They are strictly bar hoppers IMO.

Do you want to ride less and less and less and then quit riding for good? If so then swap for the Chopper ! and you will.
Choppers are meant for 1 thing and 1 thing only and thats to look good parked in some show or OCC .

I know you guys are right, I wish they rented those bikes so I could get it out of my system. It's funny, I posted the same question on a chopper forum and can't wait for the results.

if you like to ride keep the rk..if you want to barhop and show off get the chopper..choppers usely make better second bikes..its kind of taboo, but ask your buddy if he would pimp his bike out for a day..i would just laugh if some one asked me but i am stingy..you never know..

See if he will let you ride it, say 50 miles. That should make your mind up!

Bottom line? It's not a Harley. Special construction. Not worth your time at re-sale. Let it go...

Keep your bike to ride, buy a big poster of the chopper to look at. Now, you have both.
