Anyone else find themselves doing this ? What was the cause ? What was the fix ?

 

Adjust or get new bars.

 

Is the weather cool or cold where you are riding?

 

more info needed - what are you riding? usually it is the combo of the bars and the seat.

 

Mine was the windshield. Stock 12" I was looking into the edge. I either had to sit up very straight to see over it, or hunch up to see thru it under the edge. I put on a 15.5" from Clearview with the recurve and I like it alot. I don't seem to hunch up now since I am seeing thru it as I sit.

I have thought about my bars, I ride with a fellow who put on longer bars, but had to go to new cables for everything to be able to do it. No thanks......To much to mess with. I think he ended up with like $700 into that, had the MoCo do it, so that's price of new bars, longer clutch cable, longer wiring and mainly labor....

Seriously, what type of bike, any mods???

 

I agree...I had back problems develop once I got 09 RG, I couldn't ride more than an hour before the ache set in. I changed to heritage handle bars & Sundowner seat and it fixed my "riding position" on the bike and my back ache! I would like about 1 more inch pull back but have adjusted to this setup.

 

Back pressure, I dropped a duece and felt fine

 

I'm 5' 10", riding a 09 Street Glide with the newer ( lower ) Hammock seat. Weather does not seem to matter, I have caught myself doing it in the cold and heat. Stress, definitely. Looks, yep, kind like that
The stock SG bars have always seemed to be too much of a reach.
