I assume the amp will perform well.. Will it outperform the Arc amps? I doubt it.. But at the pricepoint they are offering it at you could buy two of 'em
Yep, just when i finally make a decision, I hear about some ridiculous high end audio component for 1/2 or 1/3 what I was planning on spending! UGH, you would think RF would let a few 'leak' for testing and review???? Ill be a guinea pig for RF!!!!! Cant wait til JUNE, GRRR. Thanks for the info guys, and for starting this thread black pearl!
Im not trying to hijack this trend . but how you guy gonna run a 2 ohms .HK Harley stereo with the Rockford amps that only runs 4 ohms ?
Don't need to worry about the head unit ohm rating when an amp is entered into the picture. It's the speakers that need to match the amp's rating now...not the head unit.

You are welcome for the info and thread. A bunch of us here agree that we should try our best to write and take pics and post all of the stuff we do, to try to help out the nexy guy. Pretty good brotherhood around here.Kinda sucks we gotta wait, hope it's worth it.Kris

The HK head unit (or any head unit for that matter) doesn't see any "load" (i.e. impedance) for an output signal going to an amp. So no problem running the HK output signal to an amp regardless of the amp's output impedance. Impedance is relevant for amp output to speaker input.
You can go to Hogtunes website where this is explained in their Tech zone in a couple of places, one being the open speaker code.

I have a Hawg Wired 150 watt amp now. I just ordered their 6.5 speakers. At some point I want to add speakers to my lowers. HW has 2 little amps that I can add (150 watts) right to my current amp. I been wondering if I were to go with the 300 watts vs getting a different amp set up at 400 watts would be worth it?
