I assume the amp will perform well.. Will it outperform the Arc amps? I doubt it.. But at the pricepoint they are offering it at you could buy two of 'em

Don't need to worry about the head unit ohm rating when an amp is entered into the picture. It's the speakers that need to match the amp's rating now...not the head unit.

The HK head unit (or any head unit for that matter) doesn't see any "load" (i.e. impedance) for an output signal going to an amp. So no problem running the HK output signal to an amp regardless of the amp's output impedance. Impedance is relevant for amp output to speaker input.

You can go to Hogtunes website where this is explained in their Tech zone in a couple of places, one being the open speaker code.

Would there be much difference between a 300 watt system and 400?

Depends on how many channels. 2 channel would be noticable, 4 channel, not as much. Also depends on where they measure the 300 or 400 from !!

I have a Hawg Wired 150 watt amp now. I just ordered their 6.5 speakers. At some point I want to add speakers to my lowers. HW has 2 little amps that I can add (150 watts) right to my current amp. I been wondering if I were to go with the 300 watts vs getting a different amp set up at 400 watts would be worth it?
