Default Going from 10" to 12" or More - How long did it take you?

I had 10" apes put on my 09 RK before I picked it up from the dealer back then.

I want to go 12" or higher. Not sure if I'll need new wiring and cables, but I'll figure that out.

Question is - What is the reality of installing these myself time-wise? Any big tricks or PITA issues?

I know, lot's of "it depends" stuff, just know I am pretty competent in the wrench department, but I guess my thing is that I don't want to spend all-day on it if a shop will bust it out in 2 hours.

While having a few beers with friends and watching a game in the shop it took us about 4 hours. I’m sure it could be done quicker by experienced mechanics and doing on the clock.
I have a buddy that did 16 inch with extending wires it took him around 6 hours. Again a few beers and the a game was on.

Thanks man...it sounds like the most time-consuming thing for me will be getting the bike through my front door into the living room where the game would be on!
