I have ridded mostly with a 3/4 and I tell my wife she must wear only the 3/4.
But now I think I want to go to the 1/2 , I see the HD brand which is way too much and I have seen the new style of 1/2 helmet like a HJC brand F1 .
Which if you wear a 1/2 is your choice and why? Thanks for your answers in advance

 

Picked up an HJC from the Harley store in their half price area. Works great for me.

 

Both my wife and I wear Dakota 1/2 helmets and love them, nice and light.

Got them from Iron Horse Helmets great folks to work with.

 

The best for you is the one that fits right and is comfortable. I've had great luck with HCI.

 

I have an HD half that I got at a sale, but only because it fits awesome. Some of the cheaper brands don't fit me well. My wife would probably hit me over the head with her helmet if I told her what she had to wear...

 

I'm anti helmet,however. I'm very comfortable with my Daytona carbon-fiber half helmet when in states that require it.

 

Just get a DOT approved helmet that fits you good. Have HJC and HD 1/2 helmets and both are fine helmets. Fit and comfort is your primary consideration (assuming it is at least DOT approved).

 

I like my polo style novelty helmet but when my wife is aboard, I usually wear my GMax GM55S half helmet. It's pretty light, DOT, and has a pull down face shield. The shield is on the inside of the helmet so it is not visible til I pull it down. It comes with a tinted shield and I ordered a clear shield at the same time. They make the same model without the face shield, so if you get one make sure which one you're getting.

 

I like my skid lid when I wear one.

 

I have an old cop helmet by Bucco that I really like. I also have a Davida that is very light and comfortable however it is not DOT.
