as long as they match -- i.e. two chrome wheels or two blacked out wheels -- you can see the rear wheel

if your blind it don't matter, personally IF I had to choose I would rather have the stock MATCHING wheels then a goofy looking MISMATCHED set..YES YOU CAN SEE THE BACK WHEEL UNLESS YOUR BLIND!!!

Buy the front and see how you like it. If disappointed you can buy the matching rear later. Good luck in your decision.

IMO, solid wheel on the back, like buckinfitch's, look good with a spoke type wheel on front. I haven't seen very many scoots with mismatched wheels, but the ones I have seen don't seem to work. Continuity is part of any good design.

Depends on the bike i think, a nice 21" front on a stock street glide, with a chromed stock rear looks ok.
Several places have exchanges for chromed stock wheels for $300 or so.

Or do like i'm planning & upgrade the front & put back some money till it's time to change the rear tire any way.

I went with matching on mine but I think as long as you go chrome and chrome or black and black you're good.
