Dont mean to hijack the thread, but some have alluded to the use of their stock windshield and their Apes. I am looking at the Carlini 16" gangster apes and am now wondering if I can use my stock windshield, which I do want to use especially on long rides. To use my stock windshield , My questions are:

1. Would I need to pull the bars back so far they wouldn't look good?
2. Would flying apes work better?
3. Go with 14"?

and for the flamers
4. Suck it up and ride! (i'm just worried about my sensitive skin getting windblown) (joke)

Here's a side by side..... 14" Carlini Gangster Bend (pushed slightly fwd). I'm tall 6'2" 34" inseam, long arms, 180lbs. These bars are exactly at shoulder level for me (red dot / red line). I do have a c&c seat (1" lower than stock). They are super comfortable and easy to ride / quick handling - still easy to lean and drag the floorboards. For me 16" would be way too high for a riders bike - but maybe ok for a bar hopper or something.

Thrill-of-it-all, Thanks, that's what I needed to see. I'm only 5'8" and have a Danny Gray Big seat that dropped me about two inches. I think the 12" Flying Apes will fit me like the 14's fit you. Again, that's a great shot, you should post that on Carlini's web site!

I want to thank everyone for their response to this thread. Lots of good information here, and it really helped!
