Default 255 cam project is starting

Well i just bought me a 255 camS so let the races begin...now i need some adjustable push rods and a cam installation kit...so if any of you can give me some ideas as to where to get the best deal i am open to suggestions...Yahoooo...where does the sickness end... i am off to Goldsboro to get a free car top carrier somebody gave me...in a couple of weeks i will get a cheap trailer.......Merry freakin CHristmas late...

Why not go pull the tank and go through the rockers........very easy to do.

I know how to pull the tank, it's easy but would i use the same rods?... Are you saying i don't have to take my heads off? MMMMM!!! that would save me money...Damn Dawg...thanks. YOU DA MAN...

Yes you could use your stock pushrods with the 255's. You don't pull the heads, just the rocker covers and rocker supports. Could also drill your support holes with a #43 drill bit like Doherty to improve better oil return.

No you don't have to change push rods. In fact I went back to stock after a SE adjustable loosened up.

If you do go through the top change out the stock breather filters to SE. Better at preventing oil blow buy into the air cleaner.

when you pull the rocker covers you will se sort of white filter material that allows for air flow, I assume to prevent pressure build up. The SE filter material traps more of the oil and better prevents it from getting into the air cleaner (from my understanding). Since I changed mine I haven't had the occasional oil drop behind the air cleaner cover.
