AMSOIL 20w50 in the motor w/ HD chrome oil filter
Spectro 6 Speed in the tranny
HD Formula+ in the primary
Change them at their recommended mileage intervals OR once a year, whichever comes first.

forget about the goofy nut on the end of the k&n filter. just use harley filters which filter out particles down to 5 microns. the k&n does not filter as well as the harley filter in that respect. just use the cup type of wrench that fits on the end of a 3/8" extension and your ratchet wrench. they cost all of four bucks at advance auto parts but be sure to take a new filter in with you when you're sizing that cup wrench. don't get the plastic cup wrench they're junk. the steel cup wrench is a great thing to have. i always punch two holes in the end of the filter before changing oil. one at the bottom edge, and one at the top edge of the end of the filter. reason being that the bottom hole you punch will allow the filter to drain and the top hole allows air in for venting. it's a way to keep your oil changes much less messy. get the right cup wrench and use the right harley filter.

What's the number of the Fram filter for Harley? I use them on my Truck, but couldn't find a cross reference for my 2010 RK. Consumer Reports did a test on Fram Filter's. They out performed all the manufacturer's filter's.

You gonna put an orange filter on your scoot?. Now I haven't read the CR report, so I will ask, did they include MC filters or just car/truck filters? Comparing a car filter to a MC filter is apple to oranges (pun intended).

Now if you were to go to the Wix Filter site and enter in the HD oil filter #6373199A in the "Exact Match Search" window you would get a cross reference #57148. Click on the application link and you will get a list of filters exclusively for HD motors. They run about $5.00 or so, have a 5 micron rating and just about any auto parts store carries Wix.

Sorry SooS, should have been more specific. CR was rating Automotive Filter's. Fram beat out GM, Ford and Mopar Filter's. I think Wix was comparable or better than fram. I'm not switching from HD black, I can buy them at my local Dealer for a little over 7 bucks. From what I read, there's nothing out there that filter's any better. JMO
