HI; took my heritage to the stealer for pulling to the left. They said it was the back rest making my body ridge with the bike.
When I left the stealer I leaned forward away from the backrest pull was gone.

I guess I,m lucky, my RD KG rides straight as an arrow when I let go. Its great when the old lady don't come with I just set the cruise , climb onto the passenger seat and she drives herself down the road. I just figured for the price of these damn things they are supposed to drive themselves.

I asked this same question a month or so ago. Never had a problem with the WG, but can't let go even for an instant with the 02 RK. Hate to see it, but am real glad that I'm not the only one with the problem!

Are you refering to the turnbuckle between the cylinders as the rear turn buckle?

When my Roadglide is off the ground on the craftsman jack, the front wheel always is cocked a little to the right. If I try to straighten it out and let the bars go the front wheel still points a little right. The only thing that makes it point right is the pressure from the clutch cable pushing it that way. On the road when that front wheel is point just a little right, your bike will go slightly left (countersteering)

I have had this same effect on all the bikes I have owned. I heard some time ago that it is the effect of the crowned roads we have. It is the design of the roadway that causes water to run off to the shoulder.

A way you can prove this out is to ride in the apposing lane on a two-lane highway where the slant of the road would be to the left. Your bike should then pull to the right.

BTW, watch out for oncoming traffic when ya do this. Hehehehe.

Does anyone also feel like the forks are slightly cocked right while underway and straight while still? I swear my forks and bars are slightly right when I'm riding, but when I look down at the front fender while riding it looks straight as an arrow and also tire wear is right down the middle???

Opitcal illusion? Characteristic of an RK?
