I bought a cheap three pocket one and cut off the 2 sides. At the time, I still had the 4" stock shield. I have now changed it out to a 7"and wish I hadn't cut them off. They are not in the way at all and are really handy. I keep glasses and my garage door remote in it. I will be buying another three pocket one in the future.

 

Of course it obstructs your vision. depending on your height, put a two inch piece of cardboard on the inside of your windshield and look down as far as you can. now take it out. Can you see more?

 

I have the three pouch with a 9 inch fastaire windshield. No obstruction of view...Someone else on this post is absolutly correct in saying that it scratches the poop out of the windshield. Fastaires are priced very resonable, once it gets real scratched up I'll order a new one.

 

I use the same fairing pouch as monstermile and I can also tell ya it's worth having and it's secure!

 

I have the HD three pocket pouch, it works well and holds alot of small stuff that a person carrys but doesn't really need! It doesn't affect your vision because your looking down the road not down at the headlight.

I cut the two side pouched and removed them, the (left and Right) that is. The middle remains on center. And here's a view of what it looks like.

handi for tolls and snacks. Best part, a prefolded map slides right in behind. It is just siting there for when you need it.

I have the single hard side pouch from HD. It has a tab that is over the center windshield stud and rubber feet to support in on the fairing ledge. To prevent scratching and rattle, I used two sticky back felt pads at the corners. I have the standard 12" windshield which I look through. No problem seeing over the pouch. I keep garage door opener (double sided taped under the top flap), wallet, air guage, microfiber towel, calculator, flash player and whatever else I might need. Glasses and gloves go in there while parked.

 

On my Road King I have the Kuryakyn Pod. It attaches to the inside of the windshield with the 3 windshield mounting screws. It has 2 flip up lids. Under the left lid is a cigarette lighter/power outlet and under the right is plain. I carry my cell phone, digital camera and keys in there while riding. Works great, looks great. M&M have a sale on Kuryakyn products right now so the price is even better.
