The Metzler 880 is absolutely available in the MU 85B 16. I've been running them for at least 3 years! They are nearly as wide as a 150 and load rated for a bagger. The MU 880 Dunlop 402 was original equipment from around '04 through '08.

That size is similar to a 140/85. Avon make an MU in 140/90 also an MU rated tyre in 150/80. So these things deserve a little study! I have used both and the narrower one is almost exactly 140 wide when fitted (to my wheel), but the 150 I currently have is around 153mm wide.

yeah, i will def have to look into it a bit further, and actually get on metzlers website. i like the look of a 150, but would sacrifice if i got a higher load rating, and a little longevity. if i can get both, I WIN! i tried to get on their site, but i am still in afghan land till march, and for whatever reason, i cant get it to load.....
thanks for the info guys,

Corb,

They have a specific ME880 website, if you can get to it:

http://www.metzeler-me880.com/

Where we can see an almost confusing choice of possible Marathon rear tyres:

130/90 B 16 M/C 73H REINF TL
140/90 B 16 M/C 77H REINF TL
74H MT90B16 M/C TL
77H MU85B16 M/C TL

150/80 B 16 M/C 71H
150/80 B 16 M/C 71H TL
150/80 B 16 M/C 77H REINF TL

The two in blue correspond to stock Harley spec for older and more recent bikes, the green one is similar spec to my Avon. To add to the confusion they also make an MT in ME88 Marathon. What makes each of them worth making and how they differ I cannot guess at!

I'm glad I have a simpler choice from Avon!
