STREET GLIDE AND TOUR PACK

RE: STREET GLIDE AND TOUR PACK
Man those chpped packs look good on the Street Glide. I have thought about adding a detachable tour pack on my Street Glide. I think I will try to scrounge up a leather pack from a RK off of Ebay. They look pretty good plus I won't have to worry about matching the paint up. Cheap I know but after paying for the new bike, I have to be cheap

If you order through a discounter like Chicago HD or Zanotti's it is cheaper (these prices might be a tick off since they are several months old):
53270-06xxx - SG King Tour Pak - $540 - (xxx is paint code)
53276-04 - detachable two-up rack - $136
53848-00 - keyed to match locks - $16
51634-06 - SG King Tour Pack back rest - $168 - (any King Tour Pack backrest will fit if you changed seat to other than SG stitching)
53804-06 - 2-up docking hardware - $48
shipping will be $30-50 so you are looking in the neighborhood of $950... far cheaper than catalog. Again prices might have changed.

Winter would be a good time to order the tour pack cause as we know HD claims painted parts can take up to like 10-12 weeks... and since the tour pack for the SG is not the same as any tour pack on a production bike - it is anybody's guess. Could be 2 weeks, could be 2 months.

I thought about going the leather Tour Pak route on my Street Glide. They look good on the SE Ultra. And you don't have to worry about paint match or buying the backrest pad. Wish I had snagged this one when it first came out. Smooth Tour-Pak® Luggage. It was $399 before the 07 models came out.

What do I do about having this match my current SG key? And do I need to order anything else for the lock part to have it work on the tour pack?? This part number does not show up in the big HD book, and my dealer tried to tell me that it would cost me over 100 bucks for all of the parts to put a lock in the tour pack?
Thanks for any help you can give.
