They are separate pipes, come with mounting brackets so they can't sag. You need 2 new HD muffler clamps if you buy these. You can purchase 2 new HD exhaust gaskets also if you don't want to use the V&H. These are pretty easy to install if you have someone to hold the front pipe while you start the nuts on the heads. I'm talking 2009.

I have a 2010 FLHTK. I had the stock exhaust on for a very short time. The heat was murder even in September. Bought an xied-10 from Nightrider and a K&N replacement filter. Helped the heat as the xied made the fuel mixture a bit richer. Not being satisfied I purchased the Dresser Duals from Fuel Moto along with the Power Commander V and Stage 1 A/C. I am running Rush slip ons with a 1.75" baffle. Love the stereo sound. They bark when you get into it and can still hear the radio when cruising. Heat issues are gone. The xied helped with heat but still had some. Jamie sent me two maps to run on the P/C. One with some power and one for the highway when I want fuel economy. Haven't had a chance to try the eco map yet.

I have to agree with this on the 09 and up bikes where the front cylinder's pipe goes under the frame. Two 90 degree bends. On previous years this was not an issue.

Plus I dont like the way they look on the right side with the pipes stacked on each other. Too much clutter. They do sound awesome though.

Question

ok, I have a 2008 Ultra classic anniversay that I bought last fall with stock header pipes, reinhart 3.5 slip-ons, and a stage 1 kit on it. It also had a Screamin eagle pro race tuner in the tourpak. So i am a little lost here sine I traded in a 1993 with none of this computer stuff on it. I thok the most advance thing on my 1993 was the self canceling turn signal (lol). So I will be in sturgis this yr (3rd time out) and want to get the V & H dresser duals installed at the balck hills harley dealer where they have all the vendors set up etc. I have been reading that this will reduce the major heat problem by my leg and my wife foot. ( on fire almost). So since this bike had a tune already set up witht he stage 1 done etc will it need retuneing with the dresser dual install? And im not sure how the tuner works, I have no cables or cd or anything just the orange box that is the tuner. Do you think the V & Hines tent would tune it too if it needs it and how do you know if it is needed? Like I said i had a carb bike and that was a piece of cake before all this.. But this is real...... nice. thanks for your advice out there Jeff

I had a 08 Anniversary Ultra too. I had a stage 1 done with a dyno tune with the stock head pipe. I later installed the Vance and Hines Dresser Duals and never had it retuned. The bike ran great with the tune it had. Just my 2 cents. Oh yeah your bike does not have a converter.
