Default Oil Cooler Advise ?

I know, it's cold outside, but I'm remembering every time I was stuck in traffic last summer that my Ultra got so hot that it would barely idle. It didn't take much either. Even when the temps were in the mid 80's, it would act so bad that I had to turn it off and wait for it to cool down.
I'm using HD syn oil and the oil temp still gets near 260.
I think I'm gonna break down and buy a oil cooler. Which is the best? Some have fans and others don't. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I run the Ultra Cool cooler with the fan. I'm very happy with it. Got it from zoood (rj's originals) here on the forum.

Does an oil cooler really help even when sitting at lights/idle? Even the ones with the fans?

Is the HD cooler any good? I see it doesn't have a fan. Does anyone have an opinion about it?

I have it and I tested it on several occasions the bypass system is great and the thermostat is very accurate, It gives cooler oil temps anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees below what I was seeing before I had it, and it doesn't leak like my buddies Jagg ten row cooler did.

I have one. Just being straight with you as I see it- It cools the oil. That's it's job. Better than running without one, right?

Thinking... Hot at mid 80's and wont idle... Do you have any tuning device? Maybe your bike is nearing the too lean point to where some extra fuel could be of help.. Just a thought...

The only time I experienced heat problems was in 95+ deg. sitting in traffic.
No problems in 80's.This was when I had my ''06 Road Glide with the HD Premium cooler.
