Love having all that room for "stuff"...
Besides...when I'm riding ..I don't even know it's there...

I'm retired and the wife works. So most of my riding is solo. I'm in and out of the pizza box frequently. Took it off once, missed it and its been on ever since. Don't know its back there when I'm riding

As long as I've had an RG I have had a 2 up setup with a tour pack. Got used to havin the storage for all of the tools and extra ridin gear for most conditions that come up. Can't see be without one now even though I ride solo 99% of the time.

92.6789% solo rider here. Just bought the removable tour pack kit, but will probably ride mostly with the tour pack on. I like having the choice of riding with or without the tour pack, but I can not beat the convenience of carrying and storing my stuff when going back and forth to work.

I had the detachable tour pack on the last bike. I ended up leaving the box on the bike all the time. With the new bike I did not go with a detachable set up. I've learned wether I'm solo or with the wife that extra space is great. Like others have said I don't even know it's there when I'm riding solo.
The only down side is when I'm riding with friends that have no storage they are always asking if they can put stuff in my pack. They want to look cool with nothing strapped or hanging on their bike.

With the storage space I seem to need as much as I can get, If I can hump it on the bike then it comes with, why not that is what it is therefore, I just seem to bring more and more crap with me each time I ride, Oh well, the way i see it is if I need it I got it.

I ride solo 100% of the time, but the older I get, the more crap I need to carry around. Plus I can lock up the helment in it.
