I have an 09 FLHP with the air ride seat and a solo rack for the T-Pak; ride that way 95% of the time. Working on getting the T-Pak moved a bit closer for more lower back support.

Default Wife included

Had a Honda VTC1100 sabre for 11 years and wife got on it once. Sold it in Dec. 2009 and never looked back.
Moved shortly thereafter and wandered into a Harley Dealer... just lookin. Wife said ooh look at that one there..... Electra Glide Classic in Red Hot Sunglow.
Picked it up two weeks later with custom wheels and a few other cool gadgets like hand grips for the lady and well. The rest of the story. She fills the trunk with purse and extras and can't keep her off the back.
My solo time is mostly to and from work. My boss won't let her hang around the office with me.... Go Figure.

I love the convenience of a tour pack.

I've put many solo miles on and I love the storage space the tour pak offers. I have no intention of ever removing it.

For me it's like 99.99%. I still question myself why don't I just trade it in or sell it, then get a Road Glide custom or Street Glide.

Wow ! That's a lot of folks running it all the time. I'm in the minority on this thread. I run solo 95% of the time and the tour pac, the rear seat and even the rear floor boards stay off of the bike and on the shelf. Takes all of 10 minutes to put it back on for the 5 times a year I use it for a passenger.

I Like the handeling of the bike a lot more without all the extra weight and the hardbags hold what I need for up to a 5 day ride. I guess I pack light.

My wife will only occasionally ride around town. Like to a restaurant and back home. But I leave everything mounted.

For the coolness factor I ride the Softail Custom. Since it is set up to two up riding, when I just want to hot rod around I take the solo seated Superglide.

For commuting to work the laptop fits in the tour pack easier. Nice to have the extra space to carry a spare helmet.

Dito all of the above, my lowered 04 egc is a beautiful machine in all its glory and I see no need to have it any other way. Weekend tour or just a short putt to Wally World to pick up a few things. it's all good!
