Any chance of adding Cee Bailey's windsheilds to the poll? Hate to see this one fall under "other".

Used fastaire for years switched last year for freedom shield. Great price 3/16 thick and has a recurve which does a nice job moving the air over me. Many sizes to pick from as well as tints.

Windvest is the best IMO. I've owned about everything else.

Hey Tom, how you been? I haven't seen you on here in a while bud! I was in the same boat as you. I tried the 6.5" Clearview w/recurve and it was great. Found a 8.5 KW for a great price, and it is good too. I'm thinking I like the Clearview better, it throws a ton of air over your head. I'm 5'7, so the 8" should be perfect for you. The 8.5 KW is great for me up here in WA during the colder months, so I will probably switch back and forth.

Gimme a shout and I will send the KW to you to try and you can ship it back when you're done, if you'd like.

Glad to see you back, and CONGRATULATIONS for the up-coming marriage. Good for you!

HD Wind Splitter for me. IMHO it's the best looking and best functional windshield out there. Works for me.

i've tried 4 completely different shields on my SG...

Clearview 6.5 inch with recurve I:

GREAT functioning shield! GREAT LOOKING shield. Fitment, excellent. Absolutely nothing wrong with this shield for me EXCEPT...I bought black because it looked best. I knew you couldn't see thru it. Not a problem EXCEPT during slow speed stuff such as parking, crosswalks, etc I like to see THRU the shield. I changed shields because of this. I may go back(still have it!).

That lead to:

Memphis Shades 7 inch...

GREAT functioning shield. Great LOOKING shield! I like the 2-tone look(I wish Clearview would mimic this!..black bottom/clear top!) Fitment: POOR! The MS shield is THICKER than OEM and other shields I tried. This causes poor/difficult fitment. Almost impossible to start the center screw AND causes GAPS at both sides of the faring allowing water to drain THRU the faring! ALSO...top edge is not finished nearly as well as the other shields and LOOKS like it was sawed to dimensions. IMO wasted money....

This lead to:

H-D Wind Splitter...

I was excited about this shield. Fitment EXCELLENT! Looks GREAT! Function: average. Compared to the other two shields it didn't live up to the billing and didn't take care of the wind. Smaller surface area that the design just couldn't overcome. Overpriced...

Clearview 6.5 inch with recurve II:

Went back to Clearview...this time in smoke. As before a GREAT shield and I can see THRU it when I need to... Doesn't look as good as the black but it's a great overall shield!
