Street Glide SE Stage III warranty...
Here's the deal:
I have a 2010 Street Glide, 19 months left on the warranty. I would like to go to the SE Pro Stage III 103 kit installed buy my H-D dealer of course. Here's the question:
How many of you have had ZERO ISSUES with dealers honoring your warranty after installation of such product and how many have had a dealer tell you your warranty is VOID since installation of such product?
THANKS

As I understand the SE pro is "race only"- look in the Screaming Eagle catalog and you'll see the explanation of terms and how it affects your warranty from Harley-Davidson.
If your dealer wants the work ( and your cash)- have them put warranty in writing. ( if they are unwilling, it is because THEY KNOW that it could be a problem)
That way if you have a problem with the motor or drivetrain, it's the dealer that is responsible. and you have some paperwork when they deny and you take them to small claims.

Got it, good luck with that- I have seen warranty claims refused for changed pipes and air cleaner.
The guy selling you something may spin a tale- if it's not in writing you could well be on your own.
my local friggin' dealer ( stubb)_ refused a warranty on the dunlop 407 service bulletin----totally legit. Had to go to another dealer ( Arrowhead) with service bulletin in hand to get it done ( and gave them a bunch of other business while i was there)

I have the pro stage II on my Roadking my best friend has the pro stage III on his street glide and we both have had numerous warranty issues since the install (nothing serious or related to kit installs) and have not had any problems with our dealership honoring our warranties. So I guess my opinion is to make sure your dealing with a dealer who wants your continued return to their store. my 2 cents (mine was done with about 9 months left on warranty his was done with well over a year left in fact he still has it until April)
