In France the manual says to use 20W-50 premium quality synthetic diesel oil ($10/quart).
Diesel oil has the proper additive for excessive heat because such engines run hot all day and synthetic oil is hydrophobic i.e. it does not mix with water to form acid. We can also use this oil in the transmission and gearbox for a short time.
Don't discount the effects of relative humidity and the pressure in the oil system also. I get it now, its my signature that's throwing folks off, easy fix, thanks. I'm not the old dude with the answers, I'm seeking the answers.
Relative humidity where i come from is the sweat that builds up on your forehead when your porking your sister.

I thought it was the sweat dripping from your nut-sac as
you're making it with your Mother's younger sister.
Porking your sister is downright hillbillyistic !!!!!
