Default Couple of Questions

First Question is has anyone tried or no anything abour putting cruise control off of an 08 flhx on an 07 flhx? Just curious since all the threads talk about using the 06 on the 07. Just thought maybe someone knows something since the 08 is cheaper.

Second question Was wondering if anyone had any ideas about lighting on a 07 flhx with lower fairings on it? I got some lowers and can't use the bullet turn signals. I either need to move them or come up with some other signals that will not hit the lowers. I really dont want to spend the money on the H D brackets 69818-06 because of price but it might be my only choice.

Thanks Guys.

'08 throttle by wire, '07 has cables, won't work. I've seen Street Glides with lowers but never paid attention to what turn signal were on them.

What lowers do you have? HD's vented lowers work fine on SG's with the OEM turn signals.

they are the non- vented and in the parts catalog it said these do not work with bullet style turn signals. The turn signals were an after thought because of the price I got them for. So now I need alternatives.

Interesting contradiction in the P&A book that you have encountered. At page 342, it says the non-vented fairing lowers lowers fit SG's (p/n 58830-88 primed) but won't fit with bullet turn signal kit 69492-05. That turn signal kit appears to be the same one used on the SG.

Have you tried installing the lowers yet?

The lowers on page 342 are for a Road Glide , look on pg 340 these are the lowers for a Street Glide and will work with the Bullet Turn Signals

Default 06 & 07 cruise

I don't believe the 06 cruise will fit 07. There are different part numbers for the kits.

I think the 07 cruise kits are obsolete so you have to slightly modify an 06 kit to fit, at least I think thats what it said....

Sorry I can only get to the computer every now and then guys. Yes Pingman I have installed them and the turn signals hit the fairings. I can't even turn the forks around far enough to lock them. When I got them I thought they were the right ones for the SG. But I guess I was wrong (imagine that). So now I need to either sale them or get my turn signals relocated.

Yes the 06 will work with a little modification to the plug on the switchs for the handle bars. The 07 is obsolete and this is the only way to get it on the 07's. I just could not remember if the 08's were wire or not.
