Default Pipe bracket broken... again!

Hi,

My bike is a FLHRS'04 with more than 35.000 miles.

I have broken this bracket 3 times :

- 2 times with standard pipes and screaming eagle mufflers.
- now with true dual pipes and screaming eagle mufflers.

I have checked pipes and mufflers and they are vey well tighten.

Does anybody remember Part Number for this bracket?

Does anybody know how can I prevent it happens again?

Thanks!

If you've broken that bracket 3 times, something else is wrong. Is it possible that one of your motor mounts is broken? That would cause your motor to move more than normal and maybe break the bracket.

2007 Touring Model parts catalog lists it on page 131; item #16 as:

BRACKET TAB, exhaust mount at starter-fits all models: 65619-98

Mine broke once...

Thank you very much for your answers. I'll check again pipes/mufflers installation.

When it breaks does it appear white and/or charred in the corner where the break is? I think the ones that get hotter break easier. Any type of fuel management on your scoot? I broke one once on my 04 prior to engine work, etc. On the other hand, Road Kings seem to also be prone to suffering broken saddlebag fender supports.
