Oh, no sales tax either.
Got my first bike from Amchd, unfortunately they didn't have a Road Glide in when I was in the market, ended up going to Portland for mine. Fortunately my daughter was best friends with the sales person, got a good deal on my 2010. Amchd is still a great dealership.

don't forget that the 2010 has already depreciated by a year. the price they gave you is too close to a new 2011 that has not depreciated. this year's worth of depreciation will be important when you decide to sell it or trade it off.

I just priced out some bikes at FT Washington HD in Maryland while looking for a 2011 RGU..they have some left over 2010s- 2 red RGs and one Ultra (white with that color changing inlay - not sure what it's called...blue/green/purple etc..)..anyway..they are dropping 2K of the MSRP, and throwing in some good January deals like a free 5 years extended warranty..talk to Tom, the sales Manager if you call them...

Now that is good price right there!...after stopping in two dealers, I found some 2011 RGUs at base price 24300, and they were only offering 1K off the MSRP (one dealer "FT. Washington of MD was throwing in some nice perks though, the other dealer in Manassas VA didn't offer anything on the side).....that could be a deal maker in my book..

Thanks for the info. Looking at a very lightly used 2010 RG Custom hopefully this weekend. If it doesn't work out will give Tom a call.

What does Out-the-door mean? It implies the bottom line on the finance contract or the check you're writing for the bike. The taxes I pay aren't the same as the taxes you pay so an OTD price is not a valid comparison to anybody else's deal.

If you want a valid comparison break it down to what you're actually paying for the bike itself.

In July of last year I bought a 2010 Road Glide Custom.
I got:
No charge for freight or set-up.
No charge for ABS.
No charge for cruise.
I paid $18,100 for the Vivid Black bike with these options.

That's an awesome deal. With NYS tax that would be around $19,700, which is quite a bit better than the price quote of 21K which I got.
