inspected mine at 30k during cam install....my none technical discription is they looked marvalous!! barely scratched.
Likewise. I was expecting to see some wear, but none was evident. If I don't swap cams again in the next year or so, I'll check them again at about 60K.

88 had problems due to heavy spring pressure all of the time. Hydraulics as in the 96 are just enough to keep the necessary tension for proper operation. Was at a seminar/discussion at a dealer open house last summer. w/ a demonstration by a tech He said they are seeing bikes with 80K on them with no appreciable wear to the hyd tensioner shoes

Same here at 25k (almost two years ago). One had a bit more wear than the other, but based on appearance alone I figured they would last >200k miles if wear doesn't accelerate. I put them back in, now at 42k, and I don't worry about them at all.
