I have done several "Fly-N-Rides". When you return the bike it's suppose to be full of fuel. I would say 90% of the bikes I have rented the previous renter had put regular fuel in the bike just before they returned it. Alot of rattle and banging goes on till you burn out the first tank...can't be good on the engine. Don't think I would buy a rental for that reason alone.

That is the idea... when you rent for a couple days you have to get your moneys worth. This includes " ride it like you stole it " and refuel it with the cheapest water one can find. If there are any warranty problems they are sure to show up during this period... and don't worry, all will be covered !

Doesn't seem like much of a deal to me. I paid close to the same for my Limited in Nov 09. It's been a great ride other than the tranny issue when I first got it.

I've rented a number of times also, and always treated the bike as if it were my own. Used premium fuel and never rode it hard. I wouldn't be afraid to buy a rental fleet bike but the price on this one would certainly make me look at new or elsewhere.

Yea, I have been looking and also asked what my 05 was worth on trade in..(offered unseen 10,9-- to 12,000. But have one question I need to get answered. I have several parts on my bike that were custom made. My derby cover is a gift from a Bro. and I wonder if it will fit a 10 or 11 also my shifter rod is a gift and wonder if it will fit also. Have found severl 2011's priced close or a little less that the 2010 Limited. Am going over to look at it tomorrow and talk to the salesman. Ad says no warranty, but ain't buying it without and a deal on extended warranty.

I also agree with this. The price they are asking for the rental is to much. In addition, I have rented several times and the rentals I had without question had been abused, something to think about.

Good luck.

Buy New! You don't want somebody else's problems.
Plus when new it just more personal.
If these fleet rentals are treated like I used to treat rental cars I wouldn't touch it.
