I just switched to supertrapp from DD and to say the DD is heavy is an understatement freaking pipe weighs a ton but fit and finish was awesome best chrome Ive had on any pipe.

I like my ST but my bike did run better with DD and yes I retuned with my ST.

the fatcat is really popular and has been out for a quite a while and works well and sounds good too. i'm using the newer vance & hines pro pipe and i'm really happy with my decision. the thunderheaders have quite a following also, but i just can't get over the tomato juice can welded on the back end, and especially all the soot that collects where it's attached to the muffler body. the h.o. pro pipe is for huge motors, and that's why i chose the regular chrome pro pipe, because the primary tubes are too big on the h.o. version unless you got a lot of motor. the smaller primaries cause the exhaust gasses to flow faster thereby taking advantage of the best feature of the 2 into 1, that being the scavenging effect. the welds and the chrome on the pro pipe are the best you'll find, and the sound is that good old hot rod harley sound rather than tinny. conclusion for me is that i'm sold on the pro pipe and it works great.

Had a thunderheader on my old 06 streetglide, and I loved the performance and sound of it. Def not the best looking though.

+2 for SuperTrapp SuperMegs - the others aren't tuneable and lack the noise control that open and closed-end caps offer.
