Default touring shocks - need info

Is the amount of travel different on 09 and up 13" touring shocks versus the shorter 12" street glide shocks? I know the overall length is different but is the same amount of travel retained with the shorter low profile style? Thanks..

The amount of travel will be less with the 12" shocks vs the 13" shocks.

The travel is 1" less with the 12" shocks. I have used both and really don't like the ride of the shorter shock.

If you shop around for after-market shocks you may find some that give better travel than stock Harley short shocks. Try HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal.
